season flew by
Damn did that season flew by. Superpark was in Mammoth last week and that was the last opportunity to get footage for the videos. Superpark is an event that Snowboarder magazine puts on every year. The venue changes but the idea is always the same. Build huge jumps and park features, invite 180 pro shreds and turn everyone loose. I usually won’t travel too far to hit park jumps so it really worked out well that Superpark was in Mammoth this year. Let me say that Mammoth is the best place for these things as the terrain is perfect for sculpting and the crew of park dudes kills it. The jumps were amazing as were the hips, gaps and other strange snow creations.
The event lasted about a week with the highlight being the later days. The weather was good and everyone had gotten used to the jumps so all sorts of tricks were going down. Travis Rice and his crew had a helicopter following riders down the course. That movie should be petty amazing.
Mammoth was supposed to close on Monday, which happened to be a great powder day. I’ve been home for almost two months with the best and only powder day being the supposed closing day. The decision makers decided to keep the hill open for another week, way to go decision makers.

hell yeah for good seasons this one was definitely not mine. maybe ill come down to mammoth next year and get loosey goosey with ya. I see that sir gabriel is rockin some unions i see. That puts a big smile on my face congrats!
